Kwame, a young hustling hawker, strives to be a successful actor. But when he looses
everything the only way out seems to be the word of God.

 

Synopsis

Kwame is a young hustling hawker. Since his parents died, he lives with his uncle,
but their relationship is tense. He dreams of becoming an actor, escape his bad financial
circumstances and gain independance from his uncle. His best friend Joshua also dreams of a better
life. When they loose everything the only way out seems to be the word of God.

 

About

DIVINE419 – HAWKERS HUSTLE is a middle length film about the daily hustle of
Accras street hawkers and the abuse of religion by fake prophets. The thought provoking, yet
entertaining dramedy was screened at film festivals all around the world, won many awards and is
finally available on Youtube for the general public. It’s also a pilot for the series DIVINE419.
